The design process: A Kitchen Nook

Here we will show the basic unfolding process at a small scale, using the making of a kitchen nook as an example. We will show how step-by-step adaptation is used to make something with deep feeling.

Here is the kitchen before we started, cramped and poorly connected to the garden just outside. We have marked the wall with blue tape, showing where we think an opening should be made, to a built-in table and seats, which will repair the connection to the garden.
